Objectives:
The clinical history of a significant number of subjects receiving DBT treatment is
characterized by adverse events whose severity has resulted in traumatic consequences. These are particularly serious cases, especially when next to Borderline Personality Disorder there is a Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), because therapeutic intervention on traumatic components can increase emotional and behavioural disregulation by increasing the risk of self-harm and suicide. These problems therefore confront the clinician with the dilemma of tradability, or not, and the consequent serious risks.
The course therefore aims to help clinicians correctly identify the characteristics
Pathogenetics and diagnostics of these subjects, and introduce them to innovative treatment strategies, such as DBT-PE (Prolonged-Exposure).
